NAD VISO 1: Precision-Engineered Smart Music System

The NAD VISO 1 is a compact smart music system born from the combined engineering heritage of NAD Electronics and PSB Speakers, two Hi-Fi brands with decades of experience in amplification and acoustic design. It was conceived to deliver true high-fidelity performance in a single, sculptural object.

At the center of the design is a precision metal ring that defines both the structure and the visual language. The iPhone or iPod is docked on a cantilevered arm, liberated from the main cabinet so that the custom-developed drivers below have room to breathe acoustically, rather than being crowded by a device bay cut into the enclosure. This separation helps preserve the integrity of the sound field while creating a clean, minimal silhouette.

The dock itself is designed to support Apple’s Cover Flow-style interface when rotated into landscape, making navigation feel more natural and cinematic. Together, the careful integration of industrial design, acoustics, and user interaction allows VISO 1 to behave like a serious Hi-Fi system, while presenting itself as a single, refined object—closer to a piece of furniture or sculpture than traditional audio gear.
